MODIFIED COMPETITION HEATED UP HEADING INTO SATURDAY NIGHT ACTION AT CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK!

CSP Press Release Peoria, AZ July 27, 2010 --- Modified action at Canyon has been superb as teams prepare for their return Saturday night. Point’s leader 4tw-Tim Ward from Mesa, AZ leads the way. Ward is a young contender that has blossomed into a super star in this division. An exuberant 18-Terry Belcher sits in second and is in striking distance of Ward. Past champion 09-Jay Foster, veterans 12-Guy Norton and X04-Mike Strobel continue to run up front.

The above-mentioned five teams are within twenty-five points of each other making this point season a phenomenal run. Strong teams adding their input to the weekly racing excitement is 20rt-Ricky Thornton Jr., 44-Jason Noll, 96-John Cox,16w-DJ Wood and a consistent 34dd-Bill Carron. Other young guns hanging around in the top ten and racing for rookie honors includes TC-Taylon Center and 76-Scott Smith.

Bomber Mania returns this Saturday to close out the night with 28-Jim Skaggs out in front. Skaggs won eight of twelve main events this season. Bomber Maniacs have seen 64-Daniel Romero in victory lane and last weeks winner 40-Grant Ballard in his all pinked out ride.

Competitive Bomber Mania teams 74x/96-Ron Neis, 99-Trenton Setelin, 9-Paul O'Connor, S-Bobby Neuman, 16-Scott Arnold and 68v-Joe Vlasity continue to place themselves in the hunt for victory’s this season.
  
Aside of the great racing action, the CSP staff will continue with this seasons “Focus On Family” with FREE children give-a-ways featuring BACK-TO-SCHOOL backpack’s filled with school supplies. All Children twelve and under will receive a free drawing ticket upon entry at the front gate to participate in the drawing.

Next up, five divisions of racing are on the card for Saturday July 31, 2010. Divisions running are the IMCA MODIFIEDS, IMCA Southern Sportmods, Super Stocks, Bombers and AMMA Winged Modified Midgets. Racing begins at 7:30pm; general admission tickets are $15, senior/military $13 and as always children 12-under are FREE. All access pit passes are $30 per person with no age restrictions and gates are open all day. BYOB in cans only and FREE camping is permitted (no hook-ups).
